About The Position
We’re seeking reliable Class A CDL drivers for a local intermodal position serving Illinois and Wisconsin, with daily trips to Chicago rail yards. This is a 100% no-touch freight position offering structured paid time off, consistent work, and the potential to transfer to a preferred shift after six months. The role operates on a slip-seat basis, and tractors must remain at the yard during time off. Smoking is not allowed inside trucks. A Hazmat endorsement is required within 90 days of hire; reimbursement is available after obtaining the endorsement and submitting the required documentation. Paid time off begins accruing on the first day, with 18 paid days off initially and an increase with tenure to as many as 32 days annually.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
