Class A CDL Local Driver
About The Position
Great American Transport is hiring experienced and recent-graduate Class A CDL drivers for a local driving opportunity based near Fort Wayne, Indiana. Drivers operate solo on local routes, travel approximately 2,000 miles per week, and have the opportunity to return home daily. Applicants must live within 50 miles of Fort Wayne and be flexible to work assigned shifts. Available start times are currently 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM; no first-shift openings are currently available. Starting pay is $27.50 per hour, with eight hours of pay guaranteed per day and overtime pay after 50 hours per week. Typical workdays range from 8 to 14 hours. Saturday work is required three times per month. Hourly pay increases based on years of service: $28.18 after one year, $29.05 after two years, and $30.50 after three years.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Live within 50 miles of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- Be willing to work any assigned shift.
- Be available for required Saturday work.
- Be comfortable working shifts that may last 8–14 hours.
