About The Position

The Class A CDL Driver operates an F-450 truck with a gooseneck trailer to load and transport trench safety equipment between branch and client locations safely and legally. The position ensures that branch equipment pickup and delivery needs are handled efficiently, safely, accurately, and on time. The driver also maintains the vehicle, inside and out.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A CDL.
• Must pass a DOT physical and all required drug and alcohol screenings.
• Must have at least one year of commercial truck driving experience.
• Must maintain a clean driving record for insurance coverage purposes.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Must have a basic understanding of truck maintenance concepts.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment using forklifts and deliver it between branch and client locations.
• Act as a liaison between customers and branch departments to meet and exceed customer expectations for rental equipment delivery.
• Prepare service tickets, time sheets, and other work documentation accurately, completely, and on time.
• Submit required DOT inspections, logs, and documentation to branch management as required by law.
• Promote safety and ensure work and driving are performed as safely as possible.
• Maintain the truck’s appearance and maintenance, and communicate vehicle deficiencies to branch management.
• Maintain job-related training as required.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
