About The Position

Imperial Trading Co., LLC is seeking motivated and skilled Class A CDL Route Drivers to work from the New Orleans, Louisiana area. The company has been in business for more than 100 years and is continuing to expand as one of the nation's largest food distributors. Drivers are responsible for operating safely, inspecting vehicles and equipment, and delivering products accurately and efficiently. The role is home daily.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience; 6 months may be considered.
• Must pass the road test.
• Must have an acceptable driving record under DOT and company insurance requirements.
• Must comply with DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse provisions.

Responsibilities

• Remain vigilant for unexpected road conditions, distracted drivers, and motorists unfamiliar with commercial vehicles; operate safely in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment before departure and upon return from the route, and promptly report defects to management.
• Deliver products accurately and efficiently.
