About The Position
We’re seeking reliable Class A CDL drivers for a local intermodal position based in Fort Wayne, IN. Drivers transport containers between rail yards and customer locations, including daily runs to Chicago, with additional local routes within a 100-mile radius. Drivers report to the Fort Wayne yard daily for dispatch and truck assignment. The role operates automatic trucks only and requires slip-seating. Trucks remain at the account during time off. No passengers are permitted. Day-shift work is approximately 60% drop-and-hook, while night-shift work is approximately 80% drop-and-hook. The position offers 18 paid days off annually, increasing to 22 after the first year.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- Obtain a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
- Slip-seating is required.
- No passengers are permitted.
