About The Position

Binford Supply is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to deliver construction materials and equipment while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The role involves operating manual-transmission and flatbed trucks, securing loads, completing required documentation, and inspecting vehicles. When there are no delivery runs, the driver may assist with warehouse and yard operations. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

• Three years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle.
• One year of flatbed truck operating experience.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Experience with strapping and load securement.
• Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Knowledge of Electronic Logging requirements and GPS systems, and ability to read maps.
• Clean driving record and diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures and comply with federal, state, and local regulations for safe commercial motor vehicle operations.
• Maintain records required by state and federal regulations, including duty-status and mileage records.
• Make local deliveries to businesses and residences, maneuvering safely in traffic, inclement weather, and tight areas; long-distance travel may also be required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, confirm mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, and maintain service and repair logs.
• Report injuries, vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and vehicle damage according to company procedures.
• Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
• Handle and accurately complete paperwork related to truck operations and freight movements.
• Use truck cab computers or tablets, CB radios, phones, and GPS equipment to exchange information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Properly secure cargo and maintain load security throughout trips.
• Assist with warehouse and yard duties on days without delivery runs.
• Work overtime as required.
