About The Position

The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for transporting QuikTrip merchandise over assigned routes safely and in accordance with all QuikTrip policies and procedures and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The driver will deliver merchandise to designated drop-off points. All CDL training is conducted by an internal QuikTrip Driver Initial Trainer, and QuikTrip covers all costs associated with obtaining the CDL License. The role requires the ability to scale, weigh, read tickets, and make tandem or 5th wheel adjustments without assistance. Drivers must also be able to read a map for detours, know procedures for changing a tire in an isolated area, and display professionalism in appearance and actions.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, Vo-tech training
• Basic knowledge of tractor / trailers.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a clean driving record including no DWI/DUI’s for the past 5 years.
• Ability to drive a tractor / trailer and back trailer into dock and store parking lot.
• Must be able to maintain a CDL Class A driver’s license, including but not limited to alcohol/drug test, written exam, driving test, and DMV record check.
• Must have good driving record.
• Must attend and complete designated training school.
• Must pass physical and DOT regulations.
• Able to work evenings and late-night shifts.
• Able to work with little supervision.
• Must pass TSA background check (Fuel Only).

Nice To Haves

• One-year experience driving a tractor / trailer

Responsibilities
