About The Position

Virginia Tile Co is an industry-leading wholesale distributor of full spectrum residential and commercial tile products. This position involves operating and driving a semi-truck safely and professionally, delivering freight to customers, and maintaining various records. The role also includes operating a forklift, using bar code scanners, and preparing materials for shipment.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A Endorsement Required
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be physically qualified to drive
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow warehouse procedures
• Ability to multi task
• Strong work ethic
• Detail oriented

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience driving semi-trucks and trailers on the road preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Stand up Reach Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a semi-truck safely and professionally
• Operate vehicle in compliance with company rules and all applicable state and federal regulations
• Deliver freight to customers in a courteous, professional and helpful manner
• Maintain records of driver's logs, fuel purchases, deliveries, mileage, pre-trip inspections, etc. in accordance with Federal, State and company policy
• Operates forklift
• Use bar code scanners
• Prepare material for shipment consistent with customers, trucker's or driver's requirements and balance and mark pallets
• Perform other duties as assigned
