About The Position

Bunzl is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate commercial vehicles and deliver goods to customer locations. Drivers represent the company and serve as important points of contact with customers. The position pays $31.70 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities include vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting, safe and timely deliveries, cargo handling, compliance with traffic laws and DOT regulations, and accurate completion of logs and paperwork. Drivers are expected to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean driving record.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record based on Bunzl fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods safely and on time to local and long-distance customer locations.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
• Load and unload cargo and ensure items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain the vehicle properly and report issues to management immediately.
