About The Position

Earthborne Trucks and Equipment is seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to transport heavy construction equipment to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of DOT regulations, safe load securement practices, and experience operating trailers such as lowboys, flatbeds, and drop decks. Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Clean driving record (MVR)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience hauling heavy equipment
  • Experience with load securement and knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Ability to operate and load/unload various types of construction equipment and trucks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating trailers such as lowboys, flatbeds, and drop decks.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive a Class A commercial vehicle to transport construction equipment
  • Load and unload equipment using proper securement methods (chains, binders, etc.)
  • Perform pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including delivery paperwork, hours of service, and inspection reports
  • Communicate with dispatch and job site managers to coordinate pickup and delivery times
  • Operate equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, and loaders during loading/unloading, as needed
  • Perform routine truck maintenance and services.
