About The Position

This dual-role position supports a busy warehouse and distribution operation. For approximately the first three months, the employee will primarily drive delivery routes while the company's primary route driver is on temporary leave, assisting with light warehouse duties as needed. After the primary driver returns, the role will focus primarily on warehouse and forklift operations, with backup route driving when additional coverage is needed. The position calls for someone able to move between driving and warehouse responsibilities based on operational needs.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Previous experience operating Class A commercial vehicles.
• Prior forklift operating experience.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and handle warehouse materials.
• Ability to perform physical duties associated with warehouse and delivery operations.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to assist in different areas as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to complete assigned delivery routes safely and efficiently.
• Serve as the primary route driver during the initial coverage period and as a backup driver afterward.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload products and materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, inspection reports, and required driving logs.
• Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and organize warehouse materials.
• Load and unload delivery trucks while handling products properly.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
• Assist with picking, staging, and preparing orders for delivery.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with general warehouse operations.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
