About The Position

NIS Express is hiring entry level Class A CDL drivers in Smyrna, GA. If you have completed 120 or more hours at an accredited CDL school, you qualify for our paid one-on-one training program. No over-the-road experience required. This position offers weekly pay, with home time weekly or bi-weekly. The area of operation is East of I-35, utilizing 2024-2025 Freightliner / Kenworth trucks equipped with APUs. The freight is dry van, 100% no-touch, with approximately 70% drop and hook. The training program is paid and lasts 3 to 5 weeks, with one-on-one pairing from day one. Training covers tractor-trailer operation, road safety, ELD compliance, vehicle inspections, and company policies. Drivers go solo only after completing supervised miles and evaluations.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Completion of 120 or more hours at an accredited CDL school
• Acceptable driving record with a focus on safety
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Transport no-touch dry van freight – approximately 70% drop and hook
• Meet delivery appointments and maintain on-time performance
• Keep accurate ELD logs, DVIRs and trip reports
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues immediately
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
