About The Position

This is a regional over-the-road route for a Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat endorsement, delivering helium compressed gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers. Drivers will run a dedicated territory, delivering to established customers with no cold stops or chasing new freight. The product is clean and non-flammable, and the route is familiar each week. Drivers will be home every weekend. The role involves loading and unloading cylinders, performing daily vehicle safety inspections, completing delivery paperwork, maintaining DOT compliance, and building relationships with regular customers to help manage their inventory needs. The work environment includes outdoor work in varying temperatures and requires the ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs, occasionally 76 to 100+ lbs, with frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and handling. Drivers will also need the ability to detect leaking gas from cylinders by sound or smell. A brand new trailer and tractor are provided.

Requirements

Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
1 year of driving experience or driving school training within the past 4 years
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports
Routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs, occasionally 76 to 100+ lbs
Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and handling
Outdoor work in temperatures from -10 to over 100 degrees
Ability to detect leaking gas from cylinders by sound or smell

Responsibilities

Safely deliver helium compressed gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers
Load and unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant
Perform daily vehicle safety inspections
Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance
Build relationships with regular customers and help manage their inventory needs
