About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building materials safely from the facility to customer job sites. The role includes both ground and rooftop deliveries, with no over-the-road travel, and offers the opportunity to be home every night. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure through completion and may also perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials, as assigned.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with willingness to work overtime as needed. ABC Supply describes itself as an employee-first company and an equal opportunity, drug-free workplace.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Pre-employment and random drug screenings are required.
• Hazmat endorsement is required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Conveyor, flatbed, knuckle, and/or drywall boom truck experience is preferred.
• Crane certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos through the camera phone system.
• Check the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler on where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide the customer with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse.
