About The Position
Watkins Distributing, a family-owned beverage distribution company serving Idaho and Montana for four generations, is seeking Delivery Drivers for local delivery activities within a defined territory. The work schedule is 4, 10-hour days.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Class-A CDL license, and medical card.
- Must be able to navigate a hand truck full of product.
- Ability to utilize standard hand-held computer input/output devices.
Nice To Haves
- Delivery driver experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.
Responsibilities
- Complete a pre-trip vehicle inspection.
- Drive an assigned route, delivering product in a safe, timely, and professional manner, adhering to all DOT and traffic regulations.
- Unload product from trailer using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
- Check product in with store personnel.
- Ensure deliveries are accurate by verifying orders and obtaining signatures.
- Fill all cooler space, shelf space, and displays at the time of delivery.
- Rotate all product according to company standards.
- Pick up empty keg shells, damaged items, or mis-ordered product for credit.
- Collect invoices and complete detailed route paperwork daily.
- Communicate effectively with sales representatives and store personnel.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
