About The Position

Graybar, a Fortune 500 company specializing in supply chain management services and a leading North American distributor of high-quality components, equipment, and materials, is seeking a Delivery Driver - CDL Class A. In this role, you will be responsible for face-to-face customer contact, safely delivering orders in a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to various destinations, ensuring on-time delivery and excellent customer service. Key aspects include maintaining positive customer relations, relaying customer feedback, and promoting company services and products. This position offers a predictable Monday-Friday day shift schedule, allowing you to be home nightly. Graybar serves the construction, commercial, institutional, government (CIG), industrial, and utility markets, supporting a wide range of activities from new construction to facility maintenance.

Requirements

Customer service skills
Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment
Must pass pre-employment physical testing
Safely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPE
Experience required driving a van or truck equal or below 26,000 GVW
Must have a valid driver's license issued by his/her state of residence appropriate for type of vehicle
Must be able to pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification
Steel toed boots required
CDL Class A required

Responsibilities

Help determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations
Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service
Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Inspect vehicle and supplies
Safely operate vehicle at all times
Maintain proper truck logs
Work a local route – no overnights or weekends away
