About The Position

Watkins Distributing, a family-owned beverage distribution company serving Idaho and Montana for four generations, is seeking Delivery Drivers. This role involves local delivery activities within a defined territory, operating on a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Drivers are essential to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Class-A CDL license, and medical card.
Must be able to navigate a hand truck full of product.
Ability to utilize standard hand-held computer input/output devices.
Must be able to lift and move cases ranging from 20 - 30 lbs. regularly and 160 lbs. to waist level.
Tasks include bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Work independently across multiple retail locations throughout the shift.
Operate delivery vehicle safely in frequently varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Delivery driver experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.

Responsibilities

Complete a pre-trip vehicle inspection.
Drive an assigned route, delivering product in a safe, timely, and professional manner, adhering to all DOT and traffic regulations.
Unload product from trailer using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
Check product in with store personnel.
Ensure deliveries are accurate by verifying orders and obtaining signatures.
Fill all cooler space, shelf space, and displays at the time of delivery.
Rotate all product according to company standards.
Pick up empty keg shells, damaged items, or mis-ordered product for credit.
Collect invoices and complete detailed route paperwork daily.
Communicate effectively with sales representatives and store personnel.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
