About The Position

As ‘the UK’s No. 1 Bakery Brand’ we have been baking bread since 1876. Today, we are proudly a sixth-generation family business, supplying over 18,000 retail customers from 11 bakeries and 16 depots, producing a range of over 70 products, including gluten and wheat free. Aberdeen is our most northern Warburtons site, and we’re based in Portlethen, 8 miles from Aberdeen city centre. We have a small but experienced team of 35 colleagues working together to ensure families in the Northeast of Scotland and beyond, sample our wide range of family favourites. Aberdeen depot work in partnership with a local delivery service to ensure our products are also available on Shetland. We are currently delivering 12 million products per year to over 275 customers! And we’re still growing….

Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence with Class C entitlement
Digital Tacho Card
Full CPC
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance mechanical knowledge
Knowledge of transport legislation (Driver Hours, working time directive)
Knowledge of the Highway Code

Responsibilities

Accurately pick orders (either prior to leaving or out on your route) and load your vehicle with bakery products.
Relay faults on defect forms based on knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge.
Ensure smooth and safe operation of the vehicle by applying knowledge of transport legislation, including Driver Hours, working time directive, and the Highway Code.
Deliver to multiple customers each day, providing a quality service that develops strong relationships and exceeds expectations.
Manage difficult conversations in a calm and professional manner.
Act as an ambassador for the brand with everyone and live the company values.
Load your own vehicle and ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer orders.
