About The Position

Manitoulin Transport in Melfort, SK, is currently expanding to support the growing Agriculture and Mining sectors in northern Saskatchewan. We are seeking a Class 1 driver for our Melfort location to provide service to a well-established customer base. The role involves planning, loading, and unloading trailers, using an electronic handheld device to record damages and shortages, and picking up and delivering freight while obtaining customer signatures.

Requirements

• Class 1 license required
• Knowledge of ELD (Electronic Logging Devices)
• Knowledge of hours of service
• Knowledge of load securement TDG & WHMIS
• Physically Fit
• Good customer service skills
• Reliable, dependable, and hard-working
• Able to provide a clean criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 work-related references

Responsibilities

• Plan, load, and unload trailers.
• Use an electronic handheld device to record damages and shortages.
• Pick up and deliver freight.
• Use a handheld to obtain customer signatures.
• Complete proper pre/post & inter trips.
