About The Position

Bison Transport is seeking a dedicated Class 1/AZ Driver for cross-border, short-haul routes in the Northeast U.S. and Canada. Drivers will operate on lanes including Quebec, Ontario, and various Northeastern U.S. states, with potential for regional freight. The role involves being on the road for 5-7 days at a time, averaging 2,300 miles per week, with approximately 85% U.S. miles. Drivers will have access to a professional trip planning support team. Requirements

24 months of tractor-trailer experience as a company driver.
U.S. qualified.
Eligible for a FAST card.
Minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience.
Valid Class 1/AZ license.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
Strong communication skills.
Values safety.
Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

Drive Class 1/AZ tractor-trailer for cross-border, short-haul routes in Quebec, Ontario, and the Northeast U.S.
Operate on lanes including Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware.
Be willing to drive in all provinces and states to support varying customer and freight requirements.
Be on the road for an average of 5-7 days at a time.
Pull refrigerated freight if available.
Support varying customer and freight requirements.
Assist with freight on occasion (lifting 50 lbs. or more).
