About The Position

The Clamp Operator operates a clamp forklift to process manufacturer goods in a distribution warehouse or store warehouse. Work includes loading, unloading, stacking, palletizing and depalletizing, unstacking, moving, and removing merchandise under the general direction of line supervisors, as well as other work as required. The role is attained through promotion or transfer within BrandsMart USA, is not entry-level, and requires demonstrated forklift proficiency. The position is used in both distribution centers and store warehouses and may be full-time or part-time. Operators handle merchandise arriving in cartons weighing 5 to 250 pounds, transport it to designated staging areas, stack it neatly, and count it. They sort goods and verify quantities and product details against shipping documents using a manual ledger or computer terminal. Depending on the product, verification may include size, style, color, make, and model. Operators move boxes and pallets to stock and sorting areas, organize product for verification counts, and place or retrieve product without disturbing adjacent stacks or damaging merchandise. Some shifts involve no unloading and may instead focus on moving boxes to distribution or sorting areas, restacking warehouse sections, or loading intercompany shipments. These operations may require processing more than 100 boxes per hour. The role requires safe, damage-free machinery operation and the ability to handle goods manually as required. BrandsMart provides site certification of forklift proficiency within a reasonable amount of time. Benefits vary according to full- or part-time status.
