About The Position

AJM Packaging Corporation is seeking Clamp Truck Operators to operate industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts or clamps. The role supports the timely, safe, and damage-free receipt and shipment of products by rail and freight. Operators move and stage products and materials and help supply production workers with materials as needed.

Requirements

Forklift driving and safety certification is required.
Ability to perform all physical components of the position, with reasonable accommodation if required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Six months or more of directly related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the truck and control the movement of its lifting apparatus.
Position forks or clamps under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, paper rolls, or other materials and transport loads to designated areas.
Load and unload materials onto or off trailers, rail cars, pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Assist in tracking inventory levels on the work floor and supply production workers with materials as needed.
Clear production areas of finished goods and relocate them to appropriate areas.
Lubricate the truck, recharge batteries, fill the fuel tank, or replace the liquefied gas tank.
Complete a daily industrial truck checklist and contact the appropriate supervisor if a maintenance or repair issue is discovered.
Operate the industrial truck safely and follow all safety rules, guidelines, and practices.
Complete other duties deemed necessary by the Supervisor.
