Under moderate supervision, performs basic claims/zone support activities. This role involves performing support and administrative functions, including answering phones, filing, copying/imaging, faxing, processing and distributing mail, and supporting third-party vendor relationships and processes. The specialist will also order supplies, schedule/coordinate meetings, and greet/direct visitors. A key aspect of the role is providing inbound and outbound phone support and customer service to policyholders, claimants, and agents, prioritizing customer service in all interactions. Support during weather events, including CAT loss reports, is also expected. The position offers support in various disciplines such as material damage, property, liability, subrogation, workers compensation, medical, and litigation. Responsibilities include preparing and processing documents, handling confidential claim file information, and conducting follow-up calls. The role requires applying a working knowledge of policies and procedures, verifying claims information, offering initial services, and assisting personnel with accessing and verifying policyholder information. Follow-ups will be set for completion of support activities, and inquiries from various parties including adjusters, policyholders, agents, independent adjusters, and claimants will be responded to or referred as required. Entering new loss report information and updating claims documentation are also part of the duties.
