About The Position

The Claims Supervisor leads a Workers Compensation claims team handling claims of varying caseload sizes and complexities. The role is responsible for promoting Gallagher Bassett’s claims best practices, hiring and training adjusters, setting team goals, motivating performance, managing workloads, and using company technology to improve efficiency and service quality. The supervisor communicates proactively and professionally with clients, carriers, and brokers, manages competing priorities, identifies coaching opportunities, and supports team members’ professional development. This position covers California and is fully remote.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 8 years of related claims experience.
Two years of prior leadership experience.
Workers Compensation claims background.
California jurisdictional experience.
Appropriate licenses and/or certifications for all states in which claims are handled.
Knowledge of all team-member-related functions.

Responsibilities

Lead and encourage a Workers Compensation claims team handling caseloads of varying sizes and complexities.
Guide the claims team in handling claims according to Gallagher Bassett’s Best Practices.
Manage adjuster hiring and training and encourage performance and continuous improvement.
Define team goals, motivate performance, and manage workloads to support efficiency.
Use Gallagher technology to improve team efficiency and service quality.
Communicate professionally, positively, and proactively with clients, carriers, and brokers.
Manage competing priorities, identify coaching opportunities, and support team members’ development.
