About The Position

The Claims Resolution Adjuster investigates automobile accidents involving bodily injury. The role assesses coverage, liability, and damages while providing customer service and negotiating fair injury settlements with all parties involved. Communication with customers takes place through phone calls, email, text messages, and sometimes video chat. This is a remote, home-based position for candidates residing in the United States in the Pacific or Mountain time zones; it is unavailable to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The position requires independent casualty-claim investigation, policy interpretation, damage review, settlement evaluation and negotiation, and timely, accurate documentation in the claims system. Adjusters use estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to handle claims, and tailor their communications to customer preferences while keeping customers informed. The work schedule is an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential Saturday duty rotation. The role may require obtaining an adjuster and/or appraiser license as a condition of employment. If required, licensing must be completed within 60 days of hire and may involve an additional Department of Insurance background check. Employees with active insurance licenses must terminate existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who hold a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team. The home workspace must be private and free from distractions, with an appropriate work surface and seating and internet bandwidth of at least 50 MB download and 5 MB upload. Allstate provides a technology bundle for remote work and an $80 monthly connectivity reimbursement. Employees are expected to be on camera and actively participate in online meetings and training sessions. Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the role.
