About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Claims Representative for the McGriff Specialty Team. MMA provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions. This role involves obtaining specific information regarding losses/claims, advising customers on filing procedures, responding to customer inquiries about claim status, assisting producers and claims teams with special projects, responding to company requests for policy information, and maintaining a diary system for claim follow-up.

Requirements

High School graduate
Operates under the direction of the claims team
Utilizes client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems
Considerable knowledge of basic company computer programs for word processing, accounting and applications

Nice To Haves

College degree
Prior brokerage experience
Knowledge of McGriff's claim management / agency management system or ability to learn quickly

Responsibilities

Obtain specific information regarding loss/claim to report to the company, as necessary.
Advise customers what information is necessary for claims filing.
Respond to customers regarding status of claims.
Assist producers and claims team with claims status and special projects.
Respond to company requests for policy information, as necessary.
Maintain own diary system for use in periodic follow up on selected claims.
