About The Position

This position is located at the Home Office in Macon, GA. The Claims Total Loss Claims Representative will evaluate, negotiate, and resolve physical damage total loss claims for a variety of vehicles and equipment. The role involves effective communication with vehicle owners and lien holders, managing salvage disposal, and ensuring high customer satisfaction through professionalism, integrity, fairness, and promptness. The representative will also maintain satisfactory levels of productivity, compliance, cycle time, and customer service. Additionally, the role includes continuing job skill development through training and performing other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree or; 3+ years combination of college and work experience in property casualty insurance.
• Must be able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals, and other documents as required
• Excellent telephone, public relations and oral/written communication skills
• Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
• Must possess basic skills and be proficient or have demonstrated aptitude with computers including experience with Excel, Word, and web-based systems
• Must maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Total loss claims experience preferred.
• Farm Bureau experience a plus.
• Professional designation desired.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, negotiate, and resolve physical damage total loss claims to include automobiles, motor homes, ag equipment, commercial carriers, trailers, motorcycles and more
• Effectively communicate with vehicle owners and lien holders to drive claim resolution
• Salvage disposal including owner retained and theft
• Assure high customer satisfaction levels through professionalism, integrity, fairness and promptness
• Maintain satisfactory levels of productivity, compliance, cycle time and customer service
• Continue job skill development through training
