About The Position

Sompo is hiring a Claims Operations Analyst to support its Claims Operations team, which helps deliver high-quality claims services across multiple lines of business. The analyst works closely with Claims professionals and business partners to support accurate claim administration, operational efficiency, and service to internal and external stakeholders. The position is based in Sompo’s Charlotte, North Carolina office.

Requirements

Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong customer service mindset, sense of urgency, and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

Preferred one year of experience in claims support, claims operations, insurance administration, or a related insurance environment.
Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage forms, and basic coverage analysis.

Responsibilities

Support claim file administration, including claim setup, documentation, correspondence, and coverage review support.
Provide responsive service to Claims professionals, brokers, clients, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Process claim-related transactions, payment requests, and administrative activities accurately while maintaining service standards and data integrity.
Manage competing priorities, identify issues proactively, and help drive timely resolution and delivery of work.
Maintain accurate claim information in claims management systems and support timely processing of payments, reserves, and related transactions.
Collaborate across the Claims organization on operational objectives, process improvements, and special initiatives to improve efficiency and service delivery.
