About The Position

AutoNation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Claims Manager to join our dynamic Risk Management team. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of insurance claims in coordination with the third-party administrator and other vendors. This individual contributor role involves handling first and third party claims submissions, assessing damage/reserves, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance, or Insurance).
• At least five years' experience in claims management within the automotive industry or a related field; experience with Liability and first party Property claims is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with claim management systems (i.e., Origami).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage the end-to-end claims process in collaboration with the third-party administrator, from initial submission to final resolution.
• Assess and evaluate the extent of vehicle damage to determine appropriate repair or replacement actions.
• Skillfully negotiate in partnership with the third-party administrator and Legal Department to achieve fair and optimal claim settlements.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all claims, correspondence, and relevant documentation.
• Ensure adherence to all insurance regulations and industry standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by keeping internal and external stakeholders informed throughout the claims process and addressing their concerns.
• Analyze claims data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on claims activities and performance metrics for management.
