About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Claims Manager in the United States. This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of Disability Claim Analysts while ensuring operational excellence across claims processes. You will manage workflow, metrics, and financial accountability, while providing guidance on complex claims and coordinating with multiple internal departments. The position requires a hands-on leader who can drive strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and support the growth and retention of profitable business. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 6+ years of related experience in claims or operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of claims products, business processes, and decision-making practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to achieve organizational objectives
  • Assign and monitor claims for a team of 10–15 employees, resolving escalated cases promptly
  • Lead continuous operational improvement through identification, planning, and execution
  • Manage staff performance, including hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and rewards administration
  • Collaborate with other managers and departments to align with strategic goals and ensure operational effectiveness
  • Monitor business developments and act as a change agent to drive progress
  • Participate in committees or task groups focused on improving business practices, reducing costs, and enhancing customer acquisition and retention
