About The Position

The REPO Plus Claim Investigator investigates and gathers information from outside insurance carriers (OICs) about collateral being reviewed for coverage by the REPO Plus department. The role makes outbound calls to OIC claim departments, follows up on information needed to assess coverage, documents findings in claim files, and continues follow-up until the information is obtained or contact attempts are exhausted. The investigator manages new assignments and a pending inventory of 60–100 assignments, reports new claims to OICs, conducts coverage investigations, and reviews collateral condition reports for damage. The position is expected to meet individual quality assurance and production targets as well as departmental cycle-time metrics set by REPO Plus management.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree, or a vocational or technical school degree.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Manage receipt of new investigation assignments and pending inventory, including an inventory of 60–100 assignments.
Conduct initial reviews of new assignments.
Contact outside insurance carriers (OICs) and gather information for claim files as directed by REPO Plus Claims Adjusters or Analysts.
Ask OICs follow-up questions based on information gathered and promptly follow up when initial contact is unsuccessful.
Make outbound calls to report new claims to OICs as directed by REPO Plus Claims Adjusters and Analysts.
Document information obtained, or unsuccessful reporting attempts, in REPO Plus claim files.
Make outbound calls to OICs to gather coverage information about specific vehicles or borrowers.
Document coverage investigation findings, or unsuccessful verification attempts, in REPO Plus claim files.
Review condition reports submitted by lender clients and identify damaged collateral for movement to the next stage of the REPO Plus process.
Meet individual quality assurance and production targets and applicable departmental cycle-time metrics set by REPO Plus management.
