About The Position

MedPro Group is seeking a Claims Consultant - Dental. In this role, you will confirm coverage and manage claims and suits brought against policyholders. You will interpret, analyze, and resolve coverage issues, select and manage legal counsel for litigation, and manage litigation costs. Additionally, you will post reserves for both loss and ALE, resolve cases through settlement, dismissal, or trial, and negotiate settlements. You will also provide service to insureds and assist the sales force in sales and retention efforts, performing other activities required of a front-line claims person.

Requirements

J.D. (preferred), but will consider a Bachelor's degree if the candidate possesses other, pertinent industry experience.
Minimum of five years of claim experience and/or litigation experience, preferably healthcare liability or other professional liability claims.
Strong negotiating skills.
Adjuster's license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) may be required.

Responsibilities

Confirm coverage and manage claims and suits brought against policyholders.

Manage litigation costs, both fees and expenses.
Post reserves for both loss and ALE.
Resolve cases, via settlement, dismissal or trial.

Provide service to insureds, assist where possible in sales and retention efforts of sales force.
Perform other activities required of a front line claims person.
