About The Position

We are looking for a Claims Assistant to join our growing Claims Support team. You will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to brokers, customers, adjusters, and other stakeholders in the settlement of insurance Claims. This role can be located in our Mississauga or Toronto office.

Requirements

• High School or College Diploma including business/administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
• Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.
• Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• Strong computer skills of with standard office applications including strong data entry skills.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
• Provide various administrative support such as printing, scanning, etc.
• Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
• Process, coordinate, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.
• Process requests such as plate searches and Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) to assist claims adjusters.
• Identify process improvements to management.
