About The Position

The Claims Advocate supports clients through the claims process by reporting, monitoring, and facilitating communication between the client and insurance carrier. This role focuses on timely claim handling, status tracking, and assisting with claims analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of commercial insurance or claims-related experience
  • Basic understanding of claims handling and coverage

  • Insurance designation (CISR or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate and triage claims to determine appropriate handling strategy, escalation needs, and alignment with client risk management objectives
  • Analyze claims data, loss trends, and exposure factors to identify patterns and provide actionable recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on claims processes, coverage interpretation (in partnership with brokers/carriers), and best practices to mitigate future risk
  • Exercise discretion in coordinating claim resolution strategies with carriers, legal partners, and internal teams on matters that may significantly impact cost, liability, and client operations
  • Lead claims review discussions with clients, including presenting insights, advising on reserve challenges, and influencing claim outcomes
  • Interpret and apply policy provisions and carrier practices to guide clients through complex or escalated claims scenarios
  • Manage carrier relationships and advocate on behalf of clients to ensure appropriate handling, responsiveness, and equitable resolution of claims
  • Develop and deliver claims reporting and analysis (loss runs, KPIs, and trend summaries), tailoring insights to support client decision-making
  • Establish and refine claims handling procedures and workflows to improve efficiency, compliance, and overall client service delivery
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients and internal partners on claims-related risk, process improvement, and operational impacts
