About The Position

Autoport Limited is looking for a Claims Administrator at its facility located in Eastern Passage! The Claims Administrator is responsible for supporting the administrative functions of the Claims and Inspections department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vehicle inspections, claims administration, and reporting activities. This role plays a key part in protecting Autoport from claim liability through detailed documentation, critical analysis, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The Claims Administrator is also responsible for completing and auditing vehicle inspection reports, processing claims, supporting third-party recoveries, and maintaining accurate records related to marine, trucking, and freight claims.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of inspection procedures and damage codes
  • 2 years of experience in the automotive industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete MDR’s for assigned terminals
  • Audit completed MDR’s / terminal inspections for accuracy.
  • Communicate with management when inspection photos are incomplete or inadequate.
  • Complete photo verification of Marine surveys
  • Send out counter requests (including weekends)
  • Complete and distribute vehicle condition reports (including weekends)
  • Analyze claims filed directly with Autoport and accept or reject liability
  • Process payment of claims
  • Trucking claims – complete billing template and attachments for recouping
  • Support Freight claims processing
  • 3rd party recovery of claims from liable party
  • Insurance renewals data collation
  • Any other administrative tasks assigned
  • Frontline inspection cover when required
