About The Position

ClaimsPro/IndemniPro is Canada's largest independent adjusting firm, employing over 700 independent adjusters across Canada. We are seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our team in Gatineau. As part of our dynamic workforce, you will be trained on industry-leading technology like our iAdjust software. Your workload is balanced, and you will be compensated for your billable hours and other costs. The Adjuster actively manages claims while maximizing business development opportunities through timely marketing and follow-up.

Requirements

• Claims adjuster license, category 5a
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
• Proficient in Microsoft tools
• Good time management skills
• Valid driver's license required

Nice To Haves

• PAA certification an asset

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the team of adjusters and management.
• Gathers statements from insureds/third parties/witnesses by tactfully and vigilantly questioning them according to our clients' quality standards.
• Investigates facts and circumstances to determine the cause of the loss and establish liability, if applicable.
• Assesses and determines the extent of damages according to our clients' standards.
• Negotiates a fair and satisfactory settlement for all parties involved.
• Performs assigned tasks in accordance with established work standards, policies, and procedures.
• Meets production objectives established by management.
• Actively adjusts claims while ensuring business development opportunities are maximized.
• Markets and follows up on opportunities in a timely manner.
