We have an existing opening to add a Claims Adjuster to our team in Montreal! Primarily process out-of-province automobile claims, handle transportation and cargo claims over the phone and on the road, ascertain and determine the extent of damage, negotiate claims settlement on behalf of insurance companies or for insureds. Requirements
- Valid AMF Claims Adjuster License - Class 5A
- At least 3 years of experience in claims settlement; experience in auto claims
- Valid Driver's License
- Negotiation skills and good time management skills
- Team player who is dedicated to customer service
Responsibilities
- Primarily process out-of-province automobile claims, handle transportation and cargo claims over the phone and on the road, ascertain and determine the extent of damage, negotiate claims settlement on behalf of insurance companies or for insureds.
- Collect the versions of the facts from the insureds and/or witnesses/third parties by questioning them with tact and vigilance, according to our clients' quality and customer service standards.
- Investigate the facts and circumstances in order to determine the cause and responsibility of the loss; Communicate well-founded recommendations to clients.
- Determine the extent of the damage according to our clients' standards.
- Negotiate a settlement that is fair and satisfactory to all parties involved.
- Participate in business development by meeting regularly with current clients.
- Performs assigned duties in accordance with established work standards, policies and procedures.
