About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Technologist to join our Group in our Greater Toronto Area (GTA) or Waterloo Ontario, Canada offices. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of technologists and providing technical expertise in civil engineering projects. Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design and construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with Micro-station, In-Roads, and other Bentley applications is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
  • Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design products/services.
  • Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance.
