About The Position

The Civil Superintendent is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects within Primoris Energy Services - Civil Group, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil construction supervision, preferably within the energy or heavy industrial sector.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil projects on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
Expertise in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, with OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of civil construction projects, including earthwork, grading, concrete pouring, foundation work, and underground utilities.
Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met and proactively addressing potential delays.
Supervise and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate project execution.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
Manage project resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to optimize efficiency and control costs.
Participate in project meetings, providing input on constructability, scheduling, and problem-solving.
Prepare daily reports, progress reports, and other required documentation.
Implement and enforce environmental protection measures on site.
Assist in the resolution of design conflicts and field issues.
Mentor and train junior staff.
