About The Position

Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions. Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Requirements

  • MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
  • working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
  • sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
  • Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI)
  • dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history)
  • development of in-structure seismic response spectra
  • evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
  • travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
  • perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
