About The Position

Pinnacle Specialty Group is a woman-owned and operated small business specializing in providing project and contract management for Professional, Technical, Engineering, IT and Support Services. This role involves performing advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions. Engineering services will be provided using SRMC processes and procedures, with programmatic guidance from SRMC.

Requirements

MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
Sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
Ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
Proof of U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
Perform Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) analyses.
Perform dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history).
Develop in-structure seismic response spectra.
Evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
Perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
