About The Position
The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) is seeking a Civil Rights Investigator to investigate discrimination complaints related to the Civil Rights Act and Fair Housing Laws.
Requirements
- 2+ years of investigation or paralegal experience
- Experience with Civil Rights or Fair Housing investigations
- Strong analytical, written, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Indiana Civil Rights Law
- Experience in compliance, legal investigations, or regulatory environments
Responsibilities
- Investigate discrimination complaints
- Interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses
- Gather and analyze documents and evidence
- Prepare investigation reports and case summaries
- Maintain case records and databases
- Work with attorneys, mediators, and other team members
- May testify at hearings when required
