About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our Water & Wastewater Group in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves managing assigned projects and client accounts, focusing on marketing, client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, staff coordination, client communications, scope and fee negotiation, billing, and fee collection assistance. The Project Manager must maintain strong client relationships, cross-sell company services, and communicate effectively with the Group Leader. The ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Equivalent work experience
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia and/or one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets
  • Ability to design/manage portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and CADD technology
  • Ability to complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills
  • Ability to utilize computers to solve problems
  • Ability to prepare specification materials through research and equipment catalogs
  • Ability to prepare engineering and construction cost estimates
  • Communicates effectively with client, staff and internal design team
