About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join their Water & Wastewater Group in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects and the development of assigned client accounts. Key responsibilities include marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality, managing profitability and schedules, coordinating project staff, client communications, negotiating scopes and fees, and assisting with billing and collections. The Project Manager must maintain superior client relationships, cross-sell Timmons Group services, and communicate regularly with the Group Leader. An ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes is essential.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience
Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia, and/or one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business
6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets
Ability to design/manage portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and CADD technology
Ability to complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills
Ability to utilize computers to solve problems
Ability to prepare specification materials through research and equipment catalogs
Ability to assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
Effective communication with client, staff, and internal design team
High energy, creative, flexible, patient, self-starter
Willingness to work at a dynamic pace
