About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join their Water & Wastewater Group in Staunton, Virginia. This role involves managing assigned projects and client accounts, focusing on marketing, client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, staff coordination, client communications, scope and fee negotiation, billing, and fee collection assistance. The Project Manager is expected to maintain strong client relationships, cross-sell company services, and communicate regularly with the Group Leader. The position requires the ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia and/or one or more states where Timmons Group conducts business
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets
  • Ability to design/manage portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and CADD technology
  • Ability to complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills
  • Ability to utilize computers to solve problems
  • Ability to prepare specification materials through research and equipment catalogs
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
  • Effective communication with clients, staff, and internal design teams
  • High energy, creative, flexible, patient, self-starter
