Civil Project Manager - Land Development
About The Position
Atwell, LLC is a leading consulting, engineering, and construction services firm with a strong national presence and a diverse project portfolio. We are seeking a PE-licensed engineer for the role of Civil Project Manager - Land Development. This position offers significant ownership over high-profile projects, providing the autonomy, team, and resources to drive outcomes that shape communities. The role involves full-cycle project delivery, including managing budgets, scopes, contracts, schedules, and complex engineering and permitting challenges. You will also be responsible for client relationships and leading a project team.
Requirements
- PE license (required)
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field
- 6+ years in residential and/or commercial land development
- Deep knowledge of local codes, permitting, and construction practices
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing client expectations
- Familiarity with tools like Vision, Newforma, or Buzzsaw
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle delivery of residential and commercial land development projects — from proposal to closeout
- Manage budgets, scopes, contracts, and schedules with real accountability
- Address complex engineering and permitting challenges with the autonomy to influence direction
- Manage client relationships and external representation for Atwell
- Mentor, develop, and lead a project team
