As part of our continued growth, LEMOINE is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure Group-a key entry point for individuals pursuing careers in project management, field supervision, or estimating in the civil construction industry. As a Project Engineer within the Infrastructure Department, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators to support the successful delivery of large-scale civil construction projects, including levees, pump stations, floodwalls, drainage improvements, roadways, and utility infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include field coordination, document control, cost tracking, and QA/QC support to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of construction experience, preferably on heavy civil or public infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or HCSS is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of site utilities, concrete structures, earthwork, or drainage systems is a plus.
  • Passion for building civil infrastructure that supports communities and public resilience.
  • Interest in cross-training in estimating, scheduling, and field supervision.
  • Willingness to work in the field and adapt to varying site conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and engineers to support field activities, installations, and inspections.
  • Assist in the management of RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and project documentation.
  • Track project cost data, procurement logs, and schedule milestones alongside PMs and Superintendents.
  • Support quality assurance processes, material testing, and punch list resolution.
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting including logs, photos, and meeting notes.
  • Promote clear communication and alignment between project teams, clients, and governing agencies.
  • Uphold safety and environmental compliance in accordance with project-specific and LEMOINE standards.
