About The Position

TWG Engineering is seeking a Civil Project Engineer (PE) to support the design and development of civil engineering projects including roadways, site layouts, utilities, and stormwater systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects while collaborating with experienced engineering, construction, and project management teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Illinois PE preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering or related design experience
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, and utility design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify civil design drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare engineering calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway layouts
  • Assist in design reviews and ensure compliance with local codes and project specifications
  • Create construction documents, technical specifications, and quantity takeoffs
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to coordinate design solutions
  • Conduct occasional site visits to support inspections and project execution
  • Review RFIs and technical inquiries during project development and construction
  • Maintain accurate documentation of drawings, calculations, revisions, and communications
