Civil Project Engineer - Land Development
About The Position
Atwell, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work on site/civil engineering and land development projects. This role involves demonstrating technical excellence in engineering principles and practices, with expertise in designing potable water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management systems, site grading, roadway design, and related land development projects. The Project Engineer will manage projects from entitlements through to construction, process multiple permitting entitlements across various governmental agencies, and implement complex permitting strategies. Additionally, the role requires active participation in company marketing efforts to enhance the company's profile and foster relationships with clients and governmental agencies, contributing to the company's growth through high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET Accredited University
- 4+ years of Civil Land Development experience
- PE Licensure Required

- AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate technical excellence in engineering principles and practices.
- Possess expertise in designing potable water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management systems, site grading, roadway design, and related land development projects.
- Take projects from entitlements through to construction, ensuring successful project execution.
- Manage and coordinate various aspects of project development.
- Efficiently process multiple permitting entitlements across various governmental agencies.
- Utilize local experience to streamline the permitting process.
- Implement complex permitting strategies to meet project schedules, ranging from large-scale developments to compact commercial infills.
- Actively participate in company marketing efforts to enhance our company's profile and foster relationships with existing and future clients and governmental agencies.
- Contribute to the growth of the company by delivering high-quality projects and client satisfaction.
