Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience in private and/or public land development projects
  • Experience in plan and specification development with design/construction contract administration
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of local site permitting processes and requirements
  • Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required
  • Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple site engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction
  • Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
  • Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Read, interpret and prepare site engineering plans, specifications and reports
  • Provides technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members
  • May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff
